wrecked a few months back and just started to fix everything now cuz money has been tight, sadly last march i took a ride off a 25ft cliff and landed bumper first, this managed to tweak a few things and forced me to go back to my stock a-arms =( but nothing i couldnt fix, accept for the front plastics, i have a 2000 yellow ex. the front nose cracked and the headlights plastics are preety screwed at this point, i do not feel like buying all new front plastics since they are allready race cut and a hood scoop would cover up the crack, ive been looking and it seems like all the maier plastic hood scoops are either for the maier custom front plastic or for a newer model of the ex, any suggestions? im fine with just drilling a few holes and poping a few of the body clips through to keep it on, any advice would help, just tired of looking at a crack and some off centered headlights

250r scooped hood is the best on the 400ex. Maier makes a good one for the 400ex that is nice. Can we see a pictures so that we can tell you what would work best to cover up your problem?

Yeah, i would get a hood that covers that. Before you put the hood on, try to find a way to hold that crack together for insurance. You might be able to drill smalls holes and zip tie them or use a big staple gun.

Your link doesn't seem to be working.

Search it, numerous people have done it.

You might want to seriously consider a Nice Bumper, First thing. Gives those shocks and a-arms a little protection. Those Stock Bumpers are a complete Joke. JMO.

as for the key and lights for 30$ i baught a relocation plate from rox racing that puts it all on your handlbars and it looks clean and nice.

btw the one you buy is for a 450r. it works for the ex. i have a toggle switch in the cooling light spot(450r) for a spal fan. the key mounts in front and the lights behind the bars as you can see. my friend also has a meier 250r hood but its just plain black hood with no goofy scoups in it.

thanx guys, and yeah i do have a new front bumper, just not in that pic cause it was taken in april right after my accident, and ive been looking for hoods, mainly the quad tech 99-04 replacement hood, should be ordering one as soon as i can find one for a decent price, and that rox plate looks sick, although i did like the stock mount for the key and neutral light
