Just picked up a 08. I love the snappy throttle response and smooth power it makes. Fairly new to the 06+ bikes. All ive had are 05 based trx's. So what are some things to look out for? i've heard something about tranny issues on them? What goes bad? And is there Anything else i need to keep my eye out for and check? Thanks

The Bike has JB prostyle a arms and fox floats, but still the 08 spindles. Are the 05 spindles and stuff a direct bolt on to the 08 arms. Thanks again.

for the spindles, you will also need to get 04/05 hubs too. it makes a night and day difference.

on the 06+ 450s, they use a different head and from what i understand they are not as good. i also have a 08 and it is needing head work right now.

this has some info on it with what all has been changed over the years.

is it a 08 r or a 08er? there is engine differences between them. the 08 r uses the early style cam and the er uses a whole different cam.

Sorry its a kicker. And i know they changed the motors in 06 and up. So since mines a kicker your saying it will use the same cam as my 05 did? And anything on the tranny problems i've heard about?
