I recently bought a 06 450r, it has a ballance pro series slip on, not sure if stock or hrc head pipe, K&n filter and no air box lid.

At full throttle once it reaches about 7-8k rpms it starts missing out. At first I thought it could of just been there limited so I did the green wire mod but no affect.

I just pulled the main jet out and it has a K185 in it. I believe it's 120 stock right? I don't believe it had the hrc kit installed but it could have. Do yall think it may be too rich. I haven't checked the needle position or the valves yet either.

well im not sure if the jetting is all the problem but that is too rich, try a 170-175.

Well, I got my dynajet jet kit in, they're recommendation was a DJ128 for my setup, put it in and bogged heavily, went to 136 and was better so went to the biggest I had at 140 and it was good but still didn't have crisp throttle response.

I dug through my toolbox and luckily found a stock style Keihin 172 and bingo, runs great. Still has a slight pop on decel but has great throttle response and runs good throughout the powerband.

I also went half turn clockwise on the accelerator pump adjuster, set the fuel screw at 1.5 turns out and slide needle on 4th clip.

So basically I have a 50 dollar slide needle in my carb lol. I'm gonna pull it out and put the stocker back in and sell the jet kit. I didn't know I had that 172 or I wouldn't have bought the jet kit.

Anybody want a dynajet jet kit? 40 shipped.

I have the same kit.Put in the 128. I had to fully remove the lid,and turn the air screw 1/2 more then recommended.Runs awesome. Some people dont have any luck with the dj kit.

I did, the 128 was the first one I tried, bogged so bad it wouldn't rev at all, and the lid was removed. I don't think another 1/2 turn of the air screw would have mattered. I wanted to play with the accelerator pump some but didn't have the right tool.

HRC specs for accp timing screw 1 1/8 out from stock if you went clockwise you went the wrong way.
