I think Exriders should make you take a spelling test before you can be a member here.It sure has been a train wreck around here lately with some of the "new" members. It definitely gives you a laugh, but at the same time it can be a real pain when you are trying to help people.

It would be a good thing to have thats for sure. :D at least some internet etiquette would be nice. it is tough to read fragmented sentences, caps, and such. people just dont care enough to worry about it. Capital letters are one thing, all caps is a completely different situation to have to read. steve

as a side note, firefox and google chrome both have spell checks built into them just for this stuff. people are just too lazy to use them and proof read. IE also has an add on i believe that enables spell check. They all work the same as MS word with the line under it. steve

you would think that they could go through and either right click on it and fix it or look it up if they dont know how to spell it. steve

Thats why I love Google Chrome, just right click and boom word corrected. But yea I agree with Steve that would be nice to have, some threads I've seen are just mine fields of misspelled words.

I agree with you all you guys, but I don't need a spell check button because my phone automatically spells what I'm trying to write lol...Go smartphones!

Ha ha!! I agree... Funny story though. My buddy was submitting applications for sponsorship on hookit.com and he was wondering why we was never getting any sponsors, so I asked if I could see one. His " About me consisted of an lol and a wtf. Needless to say, I use proper, well as proper as a missourian can get it, english and i have 5 sponsors already. So, yeah... it all pays off in the end.

Help please

So how do you get Firefox to do spell check. When your writing in this forum.

Thanx

it looks like a box has to be checked in the advanced options sections.

opposite of this: they have you uncheck the box to get it off

OK

I see the red line under misspelled words.
Is that all it does, and then you correct your spelling,or is there way for it to show you the correct spelling.

thanx

If there was a spelling test for membership to the forums, I think we would have maybe 50 members at most.

I love when you read a sentence where everything is spelled correctly but, there is no punctuation.

Who wants to be the spelling and grammar Nazi?
