Well since I won't have my garage built by the end of the year my two Rs will be stored in a non heated shed this winter. Was just wondering if there is any kind of pre maintenance I can do for winter storage? Like drain carb and fuel tank and anything else you guys know of?

Thanks

All I do is make sure there is fuel stabilizer in the fuel and put a cap full of your 2stroke oil in the spark plug hole put the plug back in and kick it over a couple times with the kill switch off. I have never had a problem

wash it real good. and if you think it is clean wash it again.
lube all the grease zerks. lube the chain and cables. spray it down with wd40. put an airbox lid on it. animals (mice) love to make nests in the airbox. i had one filter shredded for their nesting. put the bikes up on a stand.

check your radiator fluid freeze point!!!

or just drain the rad fluid

and like stated above, put it on a stand. the cold ground affects tires

ive heard its not good to switch pre-mix oil type often, but a guy that i bought 2 of my R's from ran dumonde tech sp-29 pre-mix that was for watercraft use. his reason? he only rode a few times a year and the pre-mix had a rust inhibitor in it that helped prevent corrosion in the cylinder when it sits for long periods of time.
