View Full Version : Rear engine, is there a boss that does not have a bolt in it

Is there a boss on the rear of the engines on the 88 250r that is left empty, I can see thru it from one side to the other. Is it supposed to be empty of have a bolt in it?
Sounds like you are missing a nut & bolt; guessing it is your rear engine mounting bolt/nut.
Check the Honda schematics, manual or post pictures…

It is supposed to be like that- It was only used on the '86-'87 style frames.

Yea, I wondered the same thing when i got my 88R. I thought it was weird having a motor mount that goes to nothing... :confused:

My Walsh frame uses that lower motor mount as well.
