After yesterday im left with a blown crank. Thinking of putting another oem crank back in it but have a good deal on a hotrods crank. Anyone have bad luck with hotrods?? let me know what would be best bet

Rode hotrods in my old yami and never had issues. Id suggest you get it balanced and welded. there great cranks for the money. Did a full race season on the bike. beat it every weekend. Sold motor and still running today. Blew out 2 stock cranks and 1 WR crank. Hotrod is the only one that lasted

I've heard of a lot more horror stories with hotrods cranks than OEM cranks, expecially OEM honda. They just seem to fail much more often.

But at the same time, that doesn't necessarily make them BAD. Many people have run hotrods cranks successfully for years. For example, out of 1000 cranks, OEM honda cranks would have 1 failure, and Hotrods would have 10 failure. Sure, that's more often, but that also means there were 990 success stories that you never hear about.
