2007 450er fan problems

recently rescued a 2007 450er, from a friend. the lame wrecked it and let it sit for three years because of a bent tie rod, $15 part. fixed it in a day and a half but for some reason the fan wont kick on, how do i troubleshoot? not familiar with battery dependent bikes, previously had a banshee.

Are you sure it doesnt kick on.My 07 fan hardly ever kicks on.I think I have had it kick on twice that I know of. I even took it back to the dealership because i didnt think it worked.Had to put around in 1st for awhile to get it to turn on.You can pull the ground and touch the frame and it should turnon.

ive been puttin round my property, up to 3rd gear for like 30 mins at a time. nuthin. friend has an 05 and he says it turns on everytime he rides. just dont wanna ruin it.. will try though thanx

k i bypassed the thermostat sensor and jus grounded wire to thermostat housing. soon as i fired her up fan kicked on. thanx for the help, greatly appreciated
