Bringing back an old subject that dosent get addressed here too often.
Hoping some of the newer members can offer up some useful info.

I recently picked up a Garmin Rino 110 and 120, and am looking for some handlebar mounts that will stand up to the abuse of fast rough trail rides.
I have found a couple modles on ebay, and am wondering if anyone here has any experience with them.

The most common one seems to be this one, but it seems to me that it may not take the abuse, and it also looks like it may not fit very well on the handlebars, with all the other switches/levers already on the bars....

The other on I have found is this one. It looks like it will have better cleaance from all the switchs/levers, but i'm not too sure it would stay solid and not loosen up while flying down a series of whoops, or blasting down a rough and rocky trail....

So anyway,
I'm just wondering if anyone here has tried either one of these mounts, (or can suggest a different type), that they have been happy with.
Thanks for any replies,
Ron

RAM mount is what you want. I had magellan mounts and they broke and lost 1 gps. My RAM mounts survive in whooped out stuff, thick woods, fast riding and tight nasty enduro trails.

x2 on the ram(second one), I just mounted my ram i recently got for my sled yesterday and am pleasantly happy with the craftsmanship and the ease of mounting with it. I have a garmin dakota 20 that i use to mark trails and such with so the mount will be nice to keep an eye on it every now and again. It is also a bar mount so i can switch it to the 400 or rincon if needed. steve

this sort of shows how mine is done, it is not my sled but same concept i was telling you about, i have the bar mount so it is a bit different.

my riser is only 6" but still on the front side, i could have done it on the back also and still had plenty of room to get over the 6' riser block on mine with it extended. steve

this is actually the style i have with just the ball. I should have put it on the 400 for the trip this weekend instead of putting it on the sled before i left. jumped the gun a bit on the snow lol. steve
