ok so i ride/race woods on my 09 yfz and i just picked up a super clean 07 yfz today and i wanted to set it up for mx. But i was talking to some people and they said yfz are not good motocross bikes because they love to push front end and there isnt really anything you can do to them to make them handle good around a track... is this true i mean i had my bike on a track but it set up for woods so it didnt handle the greastest on the track i was just wondering is this is true or not because i dont wanna waste my money to build a bike that doesnt handle

Man the yami rocks. Im sure the guys that are tellin you this non-sense are jus haters. The YFZ is awesome on the track and trail. If your gonna build a mx bike ur gonna put on dif arms that will adjust camber and caster. If it pushes check your toe in it should be lil less in front than back that and lil camber adjustment and good tires and 0 push.

the yfz does like to push. you kinda have to steer with the back tires some. i own a yfz, 450r, and ltr. if i was wanting to go mx i would say 450r or ltr

I love my yfz i race mx and have gibson a arms which i can adjust everything perfect and with a nice set of front tires you would love it. I would rather have my bike push a little in corners than to have to weld up my frame or fix a trans every race.

every bike has problems its up to each person to pick their poison. i was just to give a little info. maybe ktm might be the choice since i havent rode or own one i havent heard much negative yet

gibson or walsh would be the best for MX.

NO you cannot put LT shocks on a STD travel a arms. they are TOO long and will not sit right. maybe if he wants it jacked up like a utlilty 4x4

I own 3 yfz and 1 being the new r ive had stock arms, standard travel arms, lt travel arms all kinds of differnt types of arms and never had a yfz push except in heavy muddy conditions or lots of leaves down in the woods or trails where any quad would push.

Never rode atvfourplay but they do make quality stuff. The houser arms are some of the best that is what i would get if it was me. i have laeger +2 +1 and they are good. The walsh front end is awsome but they require lot of up keep (alot of rebuilding).
It just depends how much you ride and what kinda ridin and what kinda maintance you wanna do.
