What all do you have to change to make an 08 gas tank work on an 06 450r. Or will the 08 gas tank plastic work on an 06.

you need the heatshield as well form 08

i've done it.. you need the tank and there is a metal peice that bolts to the tank for the rubber straps to atach to.. then the cover if you want it... I don't run the cover as it just packs full of mud between the cover and the tank.. I just wanted the smaller tank..
