I'm looking at buying a 2009 Yfz450r through the sales event Yamaha has going but my only problem is that I don't quite understand what is in the fine print here. I would be putting 2500-3000 down on a $5299 machine. Does anyone know if thats possible through this sale? Also has anyone done financing on a Yfz450r without the sale and what did that look like for payments on a monthly basis.

here's the fine print on the sales event:
"Customer Cash offer good on select 2010 (and prior year) models between 9/1/10-12/28/10. **Finance offer subject to credit approval, applies to purchases of new Yamaha Motorcycles, ATVs & Scooters made on a Yamaha Installment Financing loan account from 9/1/10-12/28/10. Minimum contract length is 24 months and maximum length is 36 months. Minimum amount financed is $5,000. Fixed APR of 3.99%, 5.99%, 6.99%, or 12.99% will be assigned based on credit approval criteria. Monthly payments per $1,000 financed based on 36 month term are $29.52 at 3.99%, $30.42 at 5.99%, $30.87 at 6.99%, and $33.69 at 12.99%. Offer good only in the U.S., excluding the state of Hawaii"

Says right there...MINIMUM amount of loan you can get, 5 grand. so you could only put a maximum amount of 299 down it looks like to qualify.

Pretty simple, although i'd go just ask the dealer to help you out explaining the terms if you have questions...

i got mine for $6900 otd with all the taxes and stuff, but i basically i put down $900, but i did 6 months with 0% interest, so i put like $1000 a month to pay it off in 6 months. you can get it financed for the $5000 and with the other money you had to put down, save it for your first payment and it will all go to your principle loan amount, or just buy mods
