Help Wire my PC3 *pic inside*

Long story short, I bought this pc3 used, the guy gave me his old harness but the pc3 was disconnected from harness at the time of purchase so I went on Pc's website and found the installation guide, which helped a little bit, but there is no information about an extra black wire w/ white stripe that I seem to have.

The instructions are pretty simple:
-Plug into existing FI plug on harness, then plug into FI.
-Grey wire splices into yellow TPS wire.
-Black wire w/ eyelet is ground.
-EXTRA WIRE!?!?

If this helps you guys any, the guy had it spliced into the black on the coil and the black on the TPS, I tried splicing the exact same way he had it (or so I thought) and nothing happened and my FI light comes on, with no injector pulse, but I did have spark. I have countless hours into this and I am starting to realize maybe I am overlooking something and hopefully somebody on here can help. I can rebuild a whole motor but when it comes to electrical components I dont know an apple from an orange.

Like I said, I've been there, it says nothing about this extra wire that I have coming off mine...which is the whole reason i made this post :rolleyes:

My PC3 for my LTR doesn't have that extra wire. Only the obvious ones you have connected already. I would call them up and ask....

dont know much about efi but i would say the wire that was wired to the coil would act as a hour meter like i said im not sure but maybe that helps i know in order to install a hour meter on my ltr i had to zip tie a wire to the coil but my ltr is carbed hope that helps

After looking...mine does not have that extra wire either.

I appreciate the responeses, you guys would not believe how many hours I have into swapping/splicing harnesses and such. I am just going to buy a pc3 made for a ltr!
