new to the 450r, but what is the point of having different oil chambers if you use the same stuff in both sides??

Is it just so that if something goes wrong on the clutch side it doesn't damage the rest of the motor, and vise versa??

well the point to it is somewhat that you can run different oils, but most powersports oils are already designed for wet clutch use so its not worth it. you can run a moly oil in the engine and then something else for trans. I just like the fact that the oil is seperate incase you do have a failure, clutches make lots of debris in the oil and atleast thats not going into the engine

I run the amsoil 10w-30 in the engine side, an honda trans oil for the trans side. you won't be dissapointed with amsoil, their the synthetic oil founders!
