what bars do you guys run or reccomend for trails? plus on the newer plastics theres a plastic piece with neutral and reverse lights will this fit on to aftermarket bars?

I've had my renthals on my 400 for 7yrs. put them on after my first roll over.The plastic dash fits just fine .

Depends on the kinda bar you want to run. The kind with the upper support pc you cant use the plastic dash. You can take some sheetmetal and make your own dash or relocate the switches and key to the fender.

I run pro taper SE (thats 7/8 thick like the stock bars) high bend. Im 6ft tall and find them very comfy.

I had no issues putting the dash under ther bar,even had the foam pad on it.Mines an 03'.I dont know if the dash has changed though.

Depends on the bars and the pad. I never had a dash period so tbh I didnt know if it would fit.

Why one would even want the dash is beyond me, I think they look tacky on the older models especially. If I had a newer model the stuffs going on the fender.

id like some pro tapers or somthin aftermarket but still want the dash since im tryin to keep it stock-ish

i put gold trail tech x bars about 4 yrs ago. they look good held up great even after flopping it about 6 times. cant say that much for steering stem. they came with a sweet risers and the factory cover your talking about $70 really cant remember but really dont think they were any more.

i've had my renthal fatbars for a couple years now, i've rolled the quad a couple times and its flipped down the mountain and they've held up. They're tough and i won't own anything else

find a set of used flexx bars, once you ride with them you will agree that the ride comfort they offer, offsets the cost

I got pro taper 7/8 med bend i beleive, never had a problem with them and you can still use the dash

A I had those on my 250R were BAD *** !!!
i got tapers on my 440 now pretty comfortable but i get armpump like a mofo ! drifting around the yard and esp at the trak!!

I have an Anti-Vibe stem, and it doesn't really seem to help much.

As for the instrument cluster, I just relocated my key to the left front fender, just like the reverse switch is on the '05s and up, and I put the lights in the tank cover piece.
