i was wondering about the liquid cooled kits that are out there,
has anyone ran them? how did it work? advantages and disadvantages .we may be rebuilding a blaster for my son to race next yr, we are restricted to 200cc, what engine kits are reliable and powerfull .we are fairly new to the blasters motor and would like some input from anyone who can help.looking for around 24-25 reliable hp. to be competitive
thanks.

there watercooled heads, butt that is just the head not the cylinder. Also the dt200 topend is watercooled, if you can find one and it legal in your class. CT Racing makes a bolt=on topend.

ok get the stock cylinder ported from a good engine builder that knows the blaster motor well. get the head rechambered for about 180psi compression and run race gas. get the flywheel lightened, advance timing 4 degrees, buy a power pros/ct racing/ f7 pipe (they are all the same just differnt name) or the Dynoport big volume pipe, (its darn good) vforce 3 reed cage, and a 33 or 35pwk keihin carb or a mikuni 34TM flatslide carb. This combo will easily make enough power to be competitive.. Good suspension is key to making a blaster go around a track good. you'll probably want a +2 swingarm too.

Oh and to respond to our original question, i'd just stick with the original air cooled head.. Now IF you can find a dt200 topend that would be the way to go, but from what i've read the watercooled head itself doesn't really help any..

Would a dt 200 entire motor match a blaster? are they very similar?
