I have a cousin that works on atvs on the side.

He has had one 500 rubicon. He had problems with the transmission not shifting correctly. Turns out to be the oil pump. He finally found that out after the 3rd time he split the case.

Other then that he didnt have any problems. He didnt keep it long though. He usually buys them broke, fixes them, then sells them.
