Engine builders, port before or after?

You have a cylinder that needs boring and ported. Do you port then bore or bore then port?
CAN you bore then port?

You can do either but it makes more sense to bore then bort because as the bore gets bigger it changes the port angle slightly. So probably bore then port but you wil want to protect the bore with masking tape in case you slip and scratch the newly honed bore. Also be sure to clean very thouroughly. So as not to leave any shavings

I usually bore it, then port it, then finish hone the last .003 of the bore.
