Need help with vin number id

Hi all, This is my first post & I am very new to this forum. Just purchased a used 90cc APEX mini quad for my son. I was told by seller when I looked at it that it was an 07. When I paid cash upon pick up the Bill of Sale says "2006". This is my first atv purchase on my own (I was nervous) & I did not realize the year difference until hours after the transaction. The plastic looks like a 2007, So my question is I have a vin number on this Bill of Sale....How do I decode it to find out where it was made, year, specifications, & such? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :confused:

well it's just like cars (made 06 call it 07) dont really know how to decode but dont think any change was made untill 08 models

there are alot of parts that's avalible for the apex and it is a very good quad to start with

Hey thanks for the reply. So there is no specific number in the entire vin number Id'ing it as it's year? Most vins are 17 letters & numbers long, are all Apex's only 16 letters & numbers long? The reason I am concerned is when I choose to sell this at a later date I need to know the year & what value is left on the bike. I am very impressed by this bike & Apex is the bike of choice at our local track. Thanks again for your help.

the 10th digit of the vin code is the year. so yours will have a 6 or 7 there.
