ok wondering if 99-04 fenders will bolt on an 05 ex, or is the mounting totally different. not worried about reverse mount can make something, and wiring is doable, just worried about the bolt holes.

i know that the '05 plastics have different mounts at the front than the first gen... so maybe that will help. But i am pretty sure the rest is the same.

everything will line up, dont need your center bracket that goes between your fenders or your headlight stay bracket, the plug for your headlight is different though

would it be possible to splice the 05 headlight plug to the 99-04 lights? or is there a different number of wires?

yeah ya could, has same amount of wires just a different connector, you could always go to a atv salvage yard and cut the plug off the wiring harness for a 99-04,(the whole headlight wiring unit is different, so you must have all from the lens to the plug, they fitting changed) or the bay, theres one on there that ends in a couple of hours for cheap

what if i took the bulbs and everything out of the 05? would it fit in the old style with some mods?
any ideas on what to do with the reverse switch? thinking of putting it under the fender
