let me get the cover off tomorrow and assess the thing . lol maybe only one bolt backet out...yeah right the noise was intermitent, i wont start it again. its funny ,the last time i rode it it made no noises at all. at least its in garage instead of 25 miles in the woods:D

Very true, :D I had to push and pull my Z400 and a 400ex out of the woods a few years ago. I ended up frying my clutch pulling my buddies mangled atv. We had to push them approx. 3 miles . Man that was one heck of a workout.
