I like the cross, something different.

I like the way the cross looks. What are you making them out of? And what are you using to cut them?

Its going to be aluminum, and its going to be cut by a company called grain belt. They use some sort of computerized machine.

Grainbelt uses either a water-jet or Laser cut, depending on material, tolerance, and thickness.

The laser is not real good with thick aluminum. Waterjeting is the way to go.
I was considering making some of these grills myself. Then Wal- la this thread showed up. I really like the diamond grill pattern the original radiator uses. I would make them from mirror finish stainless steel. Here's the pattern I copied for my sons 250r 3 wheeler

My Bad, I thought you were refering to the small rectangular cutout that mounts on the the hood scoop, nose cone or what ever you call it.

Waterjet. If you want your first design cut just give me the dimensions and I will cut one for you. I'm always willing to promote the 250R sport.

Man that would be awesome! The dimensions are 1 1/2 tall and 4 inches wide. This is the design i want cut, just so there isint any confusion. :macho

LOL!. No confusion here. But I can't tell the jet to "make this" and point at your pic. Every line, hole, angle dimensions must be given. If you have a scaled drawing that would work.

Some shops can scan your drawing and have the computer generate a DXF file for the waterjet to go by. Otherwise it takes a whole lot of time.

Are there any holes? I have the multease cross programmed if you want it.

when quad tech changed hood inserts, they changed the size, so the mounting holes are a little different. i have one of each if you want to borrow them to get the dimensions you need.

puma shine, i dont know how all this stuff works. or how to get the dimensions of the image i have. I just figured you scanned it. What program would i have to draw this up in to get all the specific dimensions?

Forget it, if you don't want any holes I will scan it with my brain and make you one.
It would be easier for me to make the cross I already have. Is that ok ?
