Custom making a oil cooler for a 300ex?

ok what oil cooler should i use doin this project i was looking for something to mount up on my 300 and take the top nad bottom bolts out of the oil line that runs from teh case to the head would a 400ex cooler work or should i just find a stock oil pump cover and drill out some holes there and pop in something and clamp down the hoses?

this what i mean by using the oil line thing on teh 300s they have a line from teh bottom to the top and want to do it like this would i work better than using the pump cover?
