I have a bone stock 400 ex. I heard they are jetted lean from factory should I rejet the quad. Not planning on any mods in the near future. If so what are your recommendations

imo it is good to go. unless you are right at sea level or way up over 5000 ft. no need to touch it in my eyes, they arent really that lean from the factory. some guys put in a 42 pilot if they start hard thats about it. steve

Not to hijack, but is a 40 or 42 pilot better for a stock bike? Mine has K&N filter as well if that affects recommendation.

James.

imo the 38 works just fine till you get into bigger bore stuff. i go 3.5 turns out on the f/a and leave it but for most it is a 42 that they go to so that the starting is easier. you dont need a choke then since you can pump the throttle a few times and have it fire up. steve
