400ex carb on a ltz400

Just curious if a stock 400ex carb would work well on a z400. My z400 has a 435cc Athena kit with hot cams intake cam & stock exhaust cam, Muzzy full exhaust system, no air box lid. I would appreciate any info.

Not really, your best choice would be an FCR off a yfz450.

If you have an old CV style carb with a vacuum actuated slide, the 400ex carb will be a big improvement, along with the 400ex intake boot. Both are pretty popular mods that you can find info and pictures for on Google.

anything will be an improvement over the pos mikuni carb. keihin which comes on the 400ex stock is alot better carb but id go with an fcr 39mm
