FCR carb on a 05 question Fan Question

I have 05 450r and the slide seems to stick i bought it off a fellow who raced and the motor is built. he ran c12 so he says....could the c12 have gummed up the slide on the carb? also he didnt run a fan on his bike and put it back on the quad for me but did not hook it up. i cannot find the wire going to the therostat. i believe i tracked it down and its a solid green wire with a black wire next to it under the hood. any ideas?? id like to get the fan working

I don't have a wiring diagram handy, but the plug going from the harness to the fan is blue with two wires.

Card could be sticking for any number of reasons, I'd check the cable first.
If the throttle and cable move freely, then pull the carb off, spray the slide with carb cleaner will moving it. Should free it right up.

Sorry, I see you were asking for help finding the temp wire. It comes off the harness right by the coil. Has a rubber cover over the terminal.
