interesting! looks like it is only $9 on amazon. I wonder what happens when the pipe is reheated

for now I just use steel wool and used M1 oil, works pretty well

I've found that Super Fine steel wool, and Simple Green does wonders on pipes too. Its the first thing I use, I've made 3 pipes that looked like they need to go back to the chromers, look like almost new again. Of course, I buffed them after I cleaned them....

I'm a firm believer in Simple Green. I should own stock in them... :D

I wonder what that product would do to the chrome finish on the pipe?

I've got a motorcycle with rust spots peeking through the chrome finish. I don't want to sand them off, because I would also be sanding the chrome finish. But I also don't think a cotton buff and polishing compound is abrasive enough to get rid of the rust.

This is on fenders, exhaust, and handlebars. I might give it a try, I can't seem to find any info on the web whether or not this Procleen Pipe Gel is harmful or harmless to the chrome finish...

Try a polishing wheel with the medium to coarse dark brown compound, buff it with some amount of pressure, more than you would think, yet not enough to crush or dent your pipe…I have cleaned up my rust pitted chrome using this very method.

PS: Procleen should be harmless to chrome, try it on a small area, tail end of the stinger first…

Carlos.

Now I'm gonna wipe it down with simple green to try and clean all the black crap off of it, but the rust is gone.

post a pick of the thing you use, in the bottle or what ever.

did you just have to shake it, spray it let it sit for a bit and then wash it off? or what did you have to do?

thats all i had to do with the stuff i have, shake the bottle, spray it on(its really thick ****) then let it sit for like 5 min.s and wash it off...

It's like a jelly that comes in a jar, you just bush it on then wipe it off and rinse.
