I might be picking up a set of LT Ohlins for my quad soon, just seeing how are they compared to other brands?

One of my buddies said they're worse than stock, theres no way they're worse..but let me hear some of your opinions on them. Thanks.

They are a reputable brand, with high quality material. As long as you have them setup for your weight and riding ability, you will be pleased.

I highly recommend the Ohlins TTX shocks!!! We've run them on our KTM since they were available for consumer purchase this year, and we have fallen in love with them!

We're waiting on word from Sweden on the arrival of the parts for the rear shocks, but that should be very soon. We'll be installing and testing a rear very soon on the KTM as well.

Thanks, Jay

i bet those stock ohlins redone by baldwin are as good as any aftermarket shock, I know we have pep front shocks on our ds450 and my brother really seems to like them over the elka set up he had on his 400, we are going to sf racing with his stock rear shock for sure for there pep conversion, Bill balance and walker fowler and them are running the ohlins they must be pretty good

Balance is running internals on his Ohlins that wont even be offered to the general public...and what works for one guy, may not work well for the next. Its very subjective.

not sure i get you point....but it pretty much confirms what I wrote.

good luck getting access to the R&D department with Ohlins to configure your own valving.....unless of course, you are Bill Balance.

I've got the consumer Ohlins TTX shocks on my KTM and I love them. The earlier shocks that were run on Ballance's quad basically piloted the R&D for Ohlins to come out with the production versions, which I believe are the best set of shocks that I've run to date.

The Ohlins TTX44 rear shocks are not yet available to the consumer yet, but surely they will be brought over soon. We are working on getting some over here for the KTM models very soon.

Thx, Jason

I hate to tell you but I believe Bill does all of the valving for his Ohlins :) And TTX shocks are fairly simple and easy to change the valving on too with the solid piston design.
