You have alot to learn grasshopper..

HIDs are 'High Intensity Discharge' Lighting. I love HIDs and I have HID headlights and foglights but they are illegal just FYI. For HIDs you will be better with a projector style headlight.

Halos are the little light rings in the headlights.

Im talking about the headlights from the Harley Davidson F150 trucks.. Look them up.

No they are not. HIDs will have to be a retrofit. You have to buy an HID kit and install them.

Here are mine.

No.. My truck is a 94. I put HIDs in my headlights.

If you want harley headlights AND HIDs you need to buy the headlights and then the HID kit and install them.

Well 10K will be a little bluer and a little less light output than 8ks.

Stay away from those eBay headlights.

They are cheaply constructed always leak or get condensation in the lenses, so you often have to seal them before you install them.

Even if you seal them though, they are still really dim compared to stock. I have a friend that installed them on his Chevy, and it reduced the light spread to about 4ft in front of the truck.

If you want a custom look, get some clear lenses and HIDS like some on here said. You can even smoke the lenses if you so chose. It'll still be crazy bright.

I've got HID's and Halo's in my F150
Love both of 'em. I get a lot of compliments on the halo's and questions on where to get them and how they're installed.
Anytime somebody drives with me in my truck at night, they're amazed at the light output from the HID's. I have the 55w, 8000k HID's from ddmtuning.

Agreed... I ran HID heads/fogs in my f150 (now on my f350) and i'll never mess around with anything else.

This was my 07 f150 I traded

Heads were sent away and painted to match harley style with tinted side markers. Tails and 3rd were sent away and professionally tinted.

I had the halo's on my mustang and they were ok for a while but I ended up putting my stocks back on. They kinda lost their touch IMO.

I'll inform you now, 9 times out of 10 when you do an HID conversion on an 04-08 f150 you'll have to add in a relay. This is known as the "bambi" mod to most of the f150 forums. Cheap and pretty easy to do. What happens is the HID's back feed into your fog/hi beam relay so when you turn your fogs on it trips your hi beams and you blind everyone. I had this issue with mine. Also, upgrade your stock 15 amp fuses to a 20 or 25 amp. I'd also recommend going with the digital HID kits. They are true plug and play kits where as the conversion kits require you to run your master control box and power wires all around your engine bay. My next HID kit will be digital for sure.

Too bad you didn't want a grill for your truck because I just lost my *** on my roush grill. Paid around $200 for and sold it for $110 shipped. Needed it gone. Btw, how many miles are on your truck? At 50K I'd recommend doing a plug change. FYI buy yourself the 3V f150 specific plug extractor kit form either snap on or lysle tool so WHEN the plug breaks you can get it out.

it all depends on where you live, the 8000K's are illegal here saying they are "too blue" trust me i got a $180 ticket because of mine i used to have. The 6000K ones arent here which is what I will be running next

I have to agree on the harley lights. They look really good and are factory lights

They also carry the factory price tag of around $550 for the pair. I do believe there is a guy selling a true set of harley heads on f150online.com

I have always heard that all HID 'KITS' are illegal. If they didnt come from the factory they are not legal..

Alot of cops just dont care. Ive had my 8k HID headlights and foglights for over a year and a half with no problems with cops or anyone else. I cant stand driving a car with halogens now.
