yfz 450/yz250

i have an idea... buy a blown up yfz. and get a yz250 motor and put it in, i have someone to make motor mounts and pretty well anything. what do you think

Easy to do, all you need is the YZ/WR motor(motorcross/cross country). The YZ/WR carb, YZ/WR wiring loom. Change the lower back engine mounts on the bottom of the frame, fabricate 2 new front engine mounts, cut the YFZ450 swing arm about 1/2 inch where it bolts to the frame to align motor(front and back sprockets), and modify a 250 aftermarket pipe(to fit to the 450 frame - pro-circuit works well.)

Biggest andvantage - standard 250 quad produce 15-18hp, highly modified RAGE 250 motor produce 30Hp. The hybrid build, standard with the YZ/WR motor produce 30Hp. Do head flow, cams, high compression piston and some odds and ends and you will soon be very close to 40Hp - very reliable!!

As with any motorcycle motor in a quad frame it would vibrate like crazy if you just fabbed up solid mounts.

Dont do it the vibes will be too much, its not counter balanced. People have done this before get a trx 250r.
