Is it worth it?

Is it really worth it to mod my 300ex (suspension), I'm thinking 400ex shocks and a-arms and maybe axle or wheel spacers? Or should I just save up and buy a 400? What I really want to know what is going to be cheaper and more rewarding? Thanks

Buy a 400ex - but thats just my opinion.

I love me 400ex, but if I had a 300 I would wait and see what Honda is going to come out with next and save my money towards that. Honda is only gonna let the others beat up on them for so long. ???ex is what I'd be saving for. imo.

If i were you i would sell the 300 and get a 400 for like 3500 used, then put about 1500 into work on it, then you would be good to go, whether you raced XC, MX, or even trail ride. If you just trail ride though, then i would say to just keep the 300, it will prob. be cheaper to keep the 300, get either 250r or 400 a-arms, and shocks, and an axle, rather than getting the 400 and having to do the same exact things to it, you know what i am saying?

I get what you're saying but if (read: when) Honda comes out with a new big-bore does that mean 400ex's will become even more available and even cheaper? Would that mean that my 300 will drop in value too?

i don't believe that the 300 will drop in value much, just due to the fact that it isn't in the same category as the 400, or whatever the new honda will be. Where as the 400 will, due to the fact that they are in the same category of quads, you get what i'm sayin?

i did it to my 300 and i even ut a 350 x swingarm and rear shcok on it...wow what i diff man

how about some pics? How much do you think cost on the whole project is if you don't mind me asking? Anthing more than $450, I can get a 400 for that after I sell my 300.

if you wanna go with the 350x conversion it is like 450 + engine, but the 350x has more power and HP than the 400 does

i don't have any..i know it works though..i ahve my stock 400ex a-arms too if interested!
