07er Carb on 05

Similar thread to Lquad but just wondering what all I need to do this. Mainly need to know about the heatsheild, the boot from motor to carb, and the boot from carb to airbox. Do I need an 07 airbox and boot or just the 07 boot to put in the 05 box? Also, what all needs to be done to wire it up?

Head to carb boot is the same. I don't have a heat shield on my quad so it was never an issue. However, I have researched this quite a bit and if you have an 04-05 shield it might have to be cut because the FCR off of later model TRX's is a bit taller than the 04-05. Otherwise you'll have to use a heat shield off of an 06+.

The 05 and 06+ airboxes are completely different and the intake tubes are different. You have two options: buy the NOSS adapter and keep your 04-05 intake, or use an 06+ intake and airbox. As far as the wire up check out the link below.
