I got up at 4am (thanks to my dog gauge) and decided today I was going to learn to apply a different kind of finish on my game calls.

I just picked up a 50s Delta Junior Unisaw and a No.6 Stanley plane yesterday.:macho I'm starting the restore tonight should be fun.

The BLO is used after all sanding is done, and I buff it in but not all the way. Then the CA is applied (5 or 6 coats) then another light application of BLO and wet sand. It is a very durable finish, waterproof etc. Pretty easy to apply once you get the hang of it.
