300ex Timing Chain Please Help

So i put a new head on my 300ex and new gaskets and all that and we moved the piston while doing so which im guessing through the timing off so how do i get teh timing back in my quad, it sounds like its "coughing" anyone please help before tomorrow thanks

Ok pull the rocker box off exposing the tops of the valves. Make sure your piston is at Top Dead Center (TDC). Place the came in lobes down and there should be marks on your timing gear to assist with this. Reassemble and your off. This is how I have done it time and again.
