losen the lock nut first. turn it towards the carrier. then losen the other nut till you see the clip around the axle. remove the clip and lide it all off.

A good penetrating oil, a big wrench (pipe wrench?) and rubber mallet.:devil

If you have a Big fat wrench on the nut..you will push the wrench down..toward the ground to loosen the nut..which will make it go toward the carrier..which will expose the clip that holds all that crap on there...:D Follow me??? I had to use a hammer and chissel to get mine off...if you don't have one..go ahead and buy a new axle nut..meszmoto has some nice ones...

what did you have to use the chizel for?

to break the POS loose for the first time...then the wrench took over from there..I had a new axle nut already so I was tired of yankin and pullin on it tryin ta get it loose...that old axle nut is now about 50 yards out in a feild next to my house...that's were I threw it when I finally got the corksucker off..

thanks guys, fnally got the SOB loose.

Here what i did: Tryed loosening it with a pipe wrench and mallet, didnt work, so i soaked it down in PB Blaster ( helps loosen seized bolts and nuts) and held a torch on it for a minute or two. Then i went back to the pipe wrench and mallet method and it loosened right up.

I thought i heard people saying that there stock lock nut always comes loose on them so they have to use duck tape? There wasnt no way mne was coming loose from just riding.

Most of those people are probably referring to it coming loose after they broke it loose for the first time... From the factory the sucka's ain't comin loose..:macho
