I can't remember seeing a post for the LTZ50 CDI being swapped out for a 90CDI.

Is it possible and where is a good place to get a good cheap one?
Also is it plug and play.

Thanks

the 50 and 90 should be a direct swap cdi thats a plug and play. The advantage is the 90 has the higher rev limiter.

yes the ltz90 cdi works on the ltz50 just did it tonight but its not worth it you might get a mile or two out of it. we also ran the ltz50 cdi in the 90

I don't know what the 90CDI costs or how well it works, but we used the Dynatek CDI and removed 3 of the variator rollers to get some more pep out of our LTZ-50. Deffinately a noticeable difference. (passified my son's need for more speed for a few months anyways) The CDI's arn't cheap though, I think I paid about $180.00 new. Maybe you can find one on ebay cheaper.

Ditto what Hemi said. Until you remove three of the rollers you wont really see the benefit of the higher rev limit on the CDI. With all of the rollers left in the motor just isnt capable of turning the higher RPM. I am also using the Dynatek and it has worked well. Ditching the stock CDI on these 50's is absolutely the first mod that should be done. Its still a pig but at least now its a little faster pig...
