I'm betting the old Supertrapp I've got is about as loud as you're going to get. 4" Trapp, TC open endcap, no discs, and the packing was last seen sometime in 2000...

A cobra or a DG would be my best bet.

I used to have a DG, and there's pretty much nothing inside the silencer.So, it's basically an open header :p :scary:



The silencer actually fell off once, and I didn't know it. Until I opened the throttle :)

how comes most times when a poll like this comes up its either a 250X or a 300EX rider. If u want a louder, and faster machine, just buy a 400EX. Dont ruin it for the rest of us

Loudest is never always the best. DG and cobra give you noise. Yoshi and e sereis and others give you performance.

Well, it is not on the list... But TC Racing has (or had) a very impressive slip-on pipe. Yeah, I must say it was the loudest pipe I have ever heard, and from what I have been told, with a big performance gain as well.

You want a loud pipe? Go down to your local hardware store, get yourself a hacksaw, and cut your header pipe off about 12" from the exhaust port. LOL :rolleyes:

whats the deal with you guys wanting the loudest pipes? the only circumstance i can think of when a loud pipe is good is racing so you can hear your machine over the others, but if your just trail riding, keep your stockers, you obviously dont care about adding power, so the stocker would be fine, although loud pipes do sound kinda neat, most of the loudest pipes out there sound like chit, too rappy, get a lrd or sparks or something with a deep throaty rumble to them.

loud is cool but it aint everything my buddy use to run a 300ex with a dg and it was louder than my 400 with a WB R4. all it did performance wise was add a little throttle response until he jetted it. if you want a real pipe though buy LRD they're pretty sweet

i would just like to say i bought my hetrick bc of the power not the sound but.... yea i have to admit it is very very loud compared to most bikes i hear...
i love my hetrick and would suggest it to anyone who ever asked what pipe they should get...

Im gunna have to agree with ANDREWRRR. If loudness is wat ur lookin for just take off ur muffler and leave the headpipe.lol. But if u wanna keep it legal than go with the t-4 its pretty loud and it performs great and also sounds great.

If I was geting a faster machine I wouldn't stop for a 400, might as well wait for something better, or get something better.

exactly y i am holding off on buying a new one for a while in a year or 2 who knows what will be out
and by then my 300 will be done and i can get almost half of what i paid for it.... great huh:huh
