I just picked up this racer for $200. I dont know if thats too much or not. no spark, little compression, and the inner case on the left side has a crack in the back. the frame looks ok with no welding or cracks anywhere that i can see so far. I bought it to help a buddy out and i think im in over my head because i dont know anything about these.

What year is it?
Is it worth restoring?
Should I just part it out?
Whats it worth? Whole or Parts?
Thanks

I'd give you 400 for it as it sits and pick it up saturday.
Interested?

Well, its between an 87-90 for the year.... look at the 10 digit on the VIN # (lower left framerail) The 10th digit should be a letter....
H=87
J=88
K=89
L=90
Judging by the graphics and white A-arms, I'd guess its an 89 or 90

That's what I too am thinking on the year, either 89-90. Def not an 87 from the intake.
That QR def needs some work. But it is fun taking something like that and rebuilding it! I live about a half hour from Mt. Pleasant, if you keep it and rebuild I may have some stock parts you could use. :cool:
