this is for my banshee but it could aply to any bike...
i have 19" mxr4 holeshots but they discontinued the 19s so ill get the 18s... i have 16/41 gears and want the bike to stay the same speed wise, how should i switch my gearing going to the 18s?

the difference between an 18 and 19 will be minimal. drop maybe 1 tooth on the rear and it should be about the same

I think the 1 tooth will be too much

i guess you'll just have to drop half a tooth then :D
haha, just leave it the way it is. i don't see why people get so technical with it sometimes.
you probably wont even notice, and if you do, most of it will be just in your head anyway.
if u sit someone on it to ride now, and then again with the 18's they probably wont notice a thing.
and plus, if your 19's are warn down then they will still be the same size as the 18's with tread.
haha

just my $0.02

i agree you probably wont even notice. try riding it with the same gearing. worst case, it feels a little more snappy and you you lose a tiny bit of top end. if you want more top end then drop it a tooth in the rear.
