View Full Version : Engine not shut off.

Our DRR was running fine tonight until we went to shut it off. It would not shut off by either kill switch, key, or tether (pro armor). Any ideas where to start looking for the problem?

Check your ground

Nothing obvious with the ground. This actually had all stock wiring. Our 50 had the pro armor tether.

Installed a different cdi I had and still not shutting off. Any other ideas? Thanks for the info so far. At least it starts :)

Stock wiring harness is kinda a pain. Still think you have a problem with a ground wire somewhere. Can you jump a ground wire off the frame to the CDI orange wire when running? I think on the stock wire harness, the key switch is integrated with the red kill switch.

The wires were pinched where they come out of the switch on left side of handlebar and the handguard bracket. It actually cut the outside of the wire to expose the metal from the bracket to the wire.

I just loosend the bracket and put some electrical tape on wires. All three switches work again. I guess that was it.
