Paul from Wiley Mods builds a 85 cc single speed that runs real strong. A friend that races with us loves it, it is a real torgue monster.

call 609-387-3060 for info

Paul builds the 70 single speeds. we ran them in 2008 and they are virtually unbreakable.

Wiley mods 70 has won the championship in the 70 class in 2008 2009 and WPSA IN 2007. And numerous 50 championships also.

Corey Heath and Jordan Digby pretty much ruled that class again this year and I know Heath runs Wiley motors.
( Jordan digby did win the championship this year and I think Corey was 2nd)

Give him a call he will get you on the right track.

You can go as big as you want really. Just get a Japanese motor and put an auto clutch on it. I've contempated doing that with my sons so that he can race in more classes.

I guess that would work too. The only thing is it would then not be Production class legal according to the ATVA.

Actually there are a few classes it can run in at ATVA.

It is not as simple as bolting a big top end on, to run correctly the engine cases must me machined. ( in 2007 we ran a Wiley Mods 75 cc auto in the 90 prod jr class and it was respectable)

Actually it was so respectable back then that dist 14 stopped allowing in the 90 prod class.

there are a lot of people supposedly building these but we have never seen anyones other than Wileys hold up.

Paul Marra, Wiley Mods owner.

Obviously, you need to take into consideration the rules for your racing organization.

Paul could probably put an auto clutch on his RMC 90 and put that in production class.

I think Chase Horton and Corey Heath won both 90 auto classes on that set up.

I think this post was referring to the single speed 50 motors being increased in displacement.
Actually we have one that Paul built that is a big bore stroker on the 50 bottom end that we ran last weekend and it flew.

He is the man for these single speeds.

Paul Marra at Wiley Mods 609-387-3060 or wileymods.com
Hes always been good to us and his record speaks for itself.

Give Paul a call 609 387-3060 or 609 506-2628...
We have been testing a new big bore single speed engine the Paul built and the results are impressive.

Also, were moving out of the 70ss class so I have a few Wiley mod 70cc single speed engines that I will be selling.

Paul (Wiley Mods) has some really fast stuff. We have/had two, 07' 70cc A/C that ran real strong, then used the top end on an 03' DC 65 bottom, which is down right fast, and also have one of the 80cc shifter motor's, which is a screamer.
The one thing we found was that top end rebuilding one of his motors "your self" isn't that easy. They can be Wiley Mods specific.

We have used just about every combination that Paul builds with good results. Parts have NEVER been a problem in 4 years.

Alex Szymborski pretty much ruled the Nationals with Pauls stuff for three straight seasons. It is well tested.

When you run these single speeds you must keep the trans oil fresh as there is no belt, it IS pretty much 1 to 1. thus, gear selection is very important ( john heath and paul with keep you flying as they havebeen through it all and know what works.)

These Cobras are actually very simple engines to work on.

Agreed, the motors are simple; was also trying to keep things simple; when you have a Suzuki RM 65 piston modified to accommodate the crank, and you not know any of this, it throws a curve ball at you if you are rebuilding the motor yourself. Still have the original piston and have always been curious if the modifications throw it out of balance ?
But the piston, cylinder & head are part of the "Mod" or Wiley specific. As stated, our two Wiley cylinders have have performed very well.

True, what i have always done is have Paul ship me a spare top end kit with every motor. It costs a few bucks but in the long run
its easier. Also, if you run the Nationals Paul is at every race and has on more than one occasion put a piston in mine for Ryan and my dad before i even got there on friday afternoon.

just my two cents.

Everyone have a great fall ...

Yes my engines are specifec but thats what makes me an engine builder not one that just puts the same thing in it that everybody else is useing and thats not easy to come with. if you wont everything the next gye has you will run just like the next gye. Paul
