just wondering if these will fit on a 2007 400ex with a/c nerf bars. I think they will but i haven't really been able to find anything online for sure. I was out riding in the mud today and it was ugly. lots of rain lately and my stock tires are pretty wore out. any help is greatly appreciated. thanks

ya theyll fit,but im a very strong believer that mudlites dont belong on sport quads....why dont you get some razr2' or something?

x2 or even some mud sharks. they are flatter than the mud lites and ride like a race type tire instead of a roundy. steve

mainly because i don't race. i ride trails/swamp/mud and some road riding. I don't want track tires of any type. i want to be able to hook up in the mud. they do make mud lites for sport atvs now, mud lite sp's, but they are only 20's. would like the extra inch of ground clearance.

razr 2's ares better then mudlites in most things,i suggest looking at those theree pretty meaty,or even gbc x-rex's.

Mudlites are pretty good I have that size on mine. Keep about 6 or 7 lbs in them because in a powerslide it will break the bead if you have less than 6lbs in them. The side walls are thin. another thing dont plan on taking them in the sand they dont hookup at all.

I have the GBC X-rexs on mine... size 22x11x9... they just barely fit with the stock heel guards... so if your guards are any further back then the stock ones then don't get too big a tire... and for a $160(ebay) they were a awesome deal... great traction.. and still can slide if need be...

Hey,

I had mudlights on my ex when i bought
it. 20" is the back and whatever in front,

I got rid of them cause they wouldn't stay
on the wheels. I even got them glued on
an they would still leak air.

To stay in place I needed a lot of pressure,
which was less than ideal for winter riding.

They did grip pretty good but a good self-
cleaning tire (spaced lugs) does the same
job.

Very satisfied with my holeshots GNCC
and they see quite a bit of mud.

I'm not sure why anyone in the world would really want these on their own 400ex.

Hope you like them. :scary:

If your trying to ride it in mud then yea it makes sense. I HATE mud, I do not want to drive a sport quad thru mud, deep water or such. Infact on trails I AVOID puddles cause I hate getting sprayed since I have cut fenders.

I avoid them period, I don't mind getting dirty but when it's flying I'm done.

oh you two are fuddy duds lol. mudding on the hundy is where its at. at least they are light enough to lift out when you get them stuck. theres a reason i have some mud sharks in the garage still:devil: i used to mud a few times a month. but then again that was before i did the 416 and stopped running a lid on the airbox. :eek2: steve

I relate it to my experience mudding in my pick up, 5 years later after maybe 5 trips im still having dirt fall off it even after i pressure washed it at least 20x.

Im a fuddy duddy too when i get done riding i dont want to stop to wash me or my quad just whip in the garage and jump off . I think an auto better suits mud riding but i agree with steve about the weight to be able to pick the quad up with out blowing your groin, any of you guys had a hernia yet? It aint good!

I'm not a fan of the mud.. having mudfights in an open field is one thing, but trailing where all of the big 4x4s leave ruts isnt fun in my books. I'd rather go to higher ground.

I'm not a fan of the mud lites on sport atvs ,, absolutly no traction in snow or sand either
