I just put fox float front shocks on with houser slicast a arms and my front end feels great. After spending all of that money i cant afford to do my rear shock. I have a stock rear shock and swing arm on my 05 R and i was just wondering if it would help out getting the XC link from GT Thunder. If anyone else is running this set up, How is it? Do you like it? and does it give it any more travel?

That will be next winters chore. Unless i come up with some money sometime here before season i am just going to go with the link. I am just going for a good budget feel for right now.

I also have floats on the front but with lonestar a-arms and i have the xc link and love it! I dont weight alot and it made it set so much lower and so much softer and smoother for me

You can't run the short links (which is what you want) without at least respringing the shock. A stock shock on the short link will be way too soft and sit to low. As far as running 18s with the xc link, I don't think I would do that. The link hits the ground a lot with 20s.

C&D Racings rear shock conversion DOESNT require a new link. for a little more than the cost of the link, you can have Colby revalve and respring the shock and it uses the stock link. Just throwing that idea out there.

yea but with only a respring and revalve you dont get the travel that you can by adding a link. Also a link will lower my ride height which is what i am looking for. I am going to respring and revalve next winter i am just looking for a quick fix for right now and for $160 from what i understand you cant beat a gt thunder link.
