Haha i'd love to try that. Must feel like ultimate control over the throttle right? How do you like it?

you'll never get me on that. Everything of mine is twists. What cable did you use anyway? I'm guessing a yfz450 or trx450r cable. A dirtbike w/o bark busters and a twist throttle isn't a dirtbike. Where and how I ride, those w/o bark busters end up w/ very bruised hands and bent/broken levers. I used to be one of those who didn't think bark busters were needed. I've heard of some doing that with the thumb throttle and others use the throttle that used on ski-doo's. I personally only feel comfortable w/ a twist.

I didn't like the twist much, because everytime I'd land a jump, it would hit full throttle and that can get kinda sketchy haha. It the stock Kawi carb, and a stock Trx450r cable and throttle assebly, and it was super easy. It took more time to get the plastics off than it did to switch it over.

i did that on my kx250 and my yz250. the yz took the adapter from motion pro 10mm-8mm and stock cable:D
kx250 i made a 1" spacer i modified. i heard terry cable can hook a guy up to. I wont have it any other way

Oh man that looks weird, it's like a paradox. Bikes are more squirrly and I wouldn't be comfortable without a twist.

See, I think the exact opposite.

The problem with twist throttles on quads is that you're turning the bars SO much more on quads than you are on a bike. On a bike, you lean into a corner. On a quad, you turn into a corner, then often counter-steer, and then pull your body to the other side of the seat to shift your weight! Turning the bars changes your wrist position, which would in turn change the throttle position (if you weren't careful), and shifting your weight from side to side only adds to the equation.

Twist throttles are easier for long periods of time, but I think thumb throttles are much more stable when you're turning the bars back and forth a lot.
