I know the benifit is have an anti vibration sterring stem when replacing the stock one. Well which is the cheapest one available and what is the benifit of getting a +1 stem.?

Just wondering for future reference.

I think Mezzmoto's stem is the cheapest anti vibe. I think his in under $200. There was a thread on this a week or so ago, and I'm pretty sure there was some pics.

I think Rico bought one of his stems and Pappy was powdercoating it. PM one those guys to see what there thoughts are.

If you do buy from him, tell him Doug sent ya.

Also, when you sending them stickers to Ben? And, are you ever going to look into the thread you made about the shockwears? I want them if they fit my Elka's

I just got my new stem from Burgard. Stocktires told me about it. I got this shipped to my door for $185. Its a Plus 1 taller and forward. I got it in hammertone gray. It looks great and seems top notch. Mo:p

On some quads (like the Bombardier DS650) you can't put aftermarket bars on the stock steering stem because they won't clear the tank on a hard turn, so you would need a +1 or +2 steering stem.

Likewise, some larger aftermarket tanks sit a little taller, meaning that you need to install a taller steering.

The reason I bought one is because I am 6'2" and 265lbs. I need to be a little farther back on the bike to turn hard. And I wanted to be able to do it all the while I have my rear wheels planted. I kept leaning forward and this will help me stay towards the back of the bike. Mo

I just put a meszmoto stem on mine and it's great...I'm 6 foot and the extra 1 inch really makes a diffference when standin up and on the gas and keepin the damn thing under control...worth the money no doubt. Mines just +1 anit-vibe not forward any..

if your gonna run a cr high bend oversized bar you might wanna run a +1 stem to make up some hight from the shorter bars.
