Lost power? lost to a suzuki 400ltz

So i took out my 426cc, with mods listed below and dragged a ltz 400 it beat me a couple times untill i got it down. (Too used to ridding my 700xx forgot its shifting points) then i was able to beat it by about a bike and a half, it is stock. Is this normal, it used to feel faster it is having a slight leak out of the head gasket could this cause it? I've had it dyno and have pushed 39whp and 38.8tq tuned for sea level to 3,000 feet and was at 4200ft elevation...it was pushing white smoke through exhaust at times....

a bit rich sounds like. i would say that you should have beat him pretty good. i would also say that if the gasket is leaking it would make a major difference. it should be replaced for sure, if it is leaking, it is losing some compression. steve

yea with that much rwhp you should have beat him by a good bit.
