265 or 310 for xc

I'm thinking of building my stock motor up a little. I tryed to search 265 but can't because of the search limit. I don't really even understand what this motor is. any info would help on which would be better for xc. the 310 would just be an esr or other big bore.

bigger is better IMO. 265 isn't much different than a 250.

the reason 265 was such a big deal back in the day was because that was the limit you could run in some pro class. I would go with 310. makes great bottom end power, but doesnt loose that 2-stroke screamin top end.

Build a 310 for low-mid power.

x2 - If you are not limited by engine displacement the 310 is the way to go...
