My son's hybrid build stalled due to cash.

He did get the rest of the chassis parts from Walsh, so now it is on to find the rest of the stuff.

Sell the Banshee....get the motor.
Part out the 89 250R...get the rest of the stuff.

I understand about the delay due to money... maybe its an economy thing rather then a lack of interest. I've been at my hybrid almost a year, definetly the longest I've ever taken. But it will be worth it.

Also times are changing. My son was "bragging" about building a hybrid at the track and another (younger) racer asked "Hybrid? Do you mean a car?"

Alot of the newer racers just don't know anything other than what is currently sold at dealers. Hybrids/250Rs are unknown to them.

Heck, you should have seen the people looking at my Banshee we raced this past weekend.

Very true! Alot of the younger guys nowdays wouldnt know how to act if they threw their leg over a real quad:D

The forum has def. died down also! I know for myself, having my son, building a new house, building a new shop, and going back to working for Deere has had most of my projects on hold. Ive still got a shop and more full projects in progress... but the progress has been on hold lol. Maybe someday ill get some stuff finished up to show off on here:D

The forum is much slower than it used to be thats for sure. As for me personally, I am alway's wrenching on my Laeger. Always trying to make things a little nicer, or make things shine a little better. Been kicking around the idea of starting a new fuel injected Laeger project, just don't have the time.

I hear that. The way things are you have to work 2x as long to make the same amount of money, thus taking away from the things you used to spend time on.

I had a couple really good projects on the go, but just haven't had time to deal with them since this whole year has been so busy except for all the dead time at work then there's time for the forum, but not wrenching.
I've also had a nagging injury that isn't getting better.

The whole site seems a little less active to me. I have been too busy working on paying jobs to do anything new to my bike. I'm pretty happy with it the way it is now and any free time I get, I go ride or race somewhere. I got a Suzuki as a backup and it needs a few odds and ends, so it'll be a while before anything new happens with me. BTW, my frankenbike is still faster than my rigged out Suzuki. :p

I think it is just that people dont have the money to spend right now. After im done with school there will be a hybrid in the stall with hopefully alot of custom stuff.
