I have searched and searched for this info on many sites and not found much useful info...

Here is what i am going to do..

Move upper shock mount on frame and move lower shock mount on swinger to run a 17.5-18.5 inch shock no link style.

First thing i need is a shock Anybody got one?

I have all the tools needed to complete the work just need a decent shock I will get it reworked if needed

So who has a shock i can buy...I will do a complete write up of what i do.

I have a big ride coming up and need this finished pretty fast

Can you send me a few pics of the shock?

Also is this shock set up for a no link? as in valved and springs?

Also what weight rider was it set for?

Anybody know how long a cannondale shock is? I have been looking but have not found anything?

Who else has a shock?

Since you're moving the mounting points yourself, I wouldn't recommend looking for just any no-link shock. You will want a shock setup for the specific leverage ratio you end up with; otherwise, you could build your mounting points to match the leverage ratio of another no-link setup and buy a shock built for it. You'll want a dual rate spring setup, so you'd at least be ahead buying a shock with both springs. You'll probably be able to use the tender spring, but may have to change the main. Determine your extended and compressed shock lengths, then buy a shock that either has the same measurements, or longer extended length and shorter compressed length, or just a shorter compressed length. Then you'll just need spacers installed to get the correct lengths. Sounds like an interesting project; it'd be cool to see some pictures.

The bike it came off of was a preadator. And they dont have a link. But its valved for a 180 to 200 lb rider. Search my name and their should be pics.

I will be posting pictures of the build so all can enjoy it...I plan to get the shock reworked to prefect the ride...I dont want to build to another shocks set-up because it may not put me into the best mouting location.

I would like to get a shock first just to have the correct size and length to set up the mounts.

What all do you have. Just the shock, or do you still have the swinger also

Just the shock is all i have left...

it was on a stock linkage..worked great on the 400 just to short on the 250r it does not allow for enought droop on this bike thats the only reason i am looking for something different.
