Ok, ive done some searching but theres so many threads on bits and pieces of jetting carbs. Heres what i got. 2002 400ex stock carb, 406 overbore, slip-on pipe, K&N air filter, hotcams stage 1, wisceo 11.1:1 compression piston, and a Wheelie +3 timing key. Im at 100 +- feet. Where should i start with my jetting?

id start around a 168 main and suspect you will end up around a 165 or 162 and get a 40 pilot. get a bunch of jets from a 160-180 if possible and get a 42 pilot also. steve

Awesome, I appreciate the guidance. This is my first 400ex and i havent even ridden it yet. Im tearin it down and rebuildin it so its nice and fresh.

nice good luck with it, it will be a nice ride if done right and taken care of. :D that will get you close and should have you at least rich enough to break it in a bit. you can then get to fine tuning it after a few 15 minute practice moto session type rides and cool downs inbetween. steve

yea, break in process is simple enough. ive done a few in my time. jet skis, drag cars, trucks...ect. i cant wait to get on this quad when im done tho, should be a step up from my 300ex.
